I posted this on the newbie forum because I am sooooooo new but I thought maybe I should have posted it here.
Thanks.

am i doing this all wrong?
Now I have another question re. Acid.
I recently read where someone spoke of downloading all the loops from loop CDs onto their computer before using them.
Is this necessary or can you just use the loops from the CD?
Is there a difference in the music......one way being better than the other?
Once again I thank you in advance.
Some day I'll get this right......lol

If you have the HD space to spare then copy the whole CD to your HD.

However..... I wouldn't.

Find the sample/s that you want to use. Copy ONLY the/those samples that you want to use to your HD.

The big issue with using loops straight off the CD is simply that it's a pain if your song is going to use loops from more than one CD. Once you take the first CD out, then the first loops you used can't be found by the pointers in the ACID file.

One solution is to save your file as an ACD-ZIP file, which saves a copy of each audio loop along with the regular ACID file parameters.

That's what I was trying to share with msgrape, but you worded it much better.... ;)
