Hi everyone! I have am using Cubase LE 4(comes with the lexicon lambda interface). I am trying to turn all my songs into something listenable instead of my Guitar Pro files. I have a few questions that I tried to find the answer but just couldn't, so please help me out with what you guys can. All the concerns are with a 1 track guitar recording.

1) What is the standard filter for the program? (I tried to use the one in the effects section [name escapes me atm]. With this, the guitar sounds like it has a flanger effect, and I definitely dont want that). I checked out the manual's section on buffering. I was going to mess with that later to see if that is the problem.

2) I get a small playback buzz on my recording, NOT while I record, and apparently not on the outputed version. Maybe it's my guitar, or fixed with solution to concern 1.

3) What is the best, free VST for realistic, rock-style drums?

Thanks in advance, and I'm glad I found this forum!

As far as Q1 goes, You might be hearing the recorded track and the input at the same time. The recorded track will be delayed by milliseconds and give it a chorusy sound. Turn off monitoring after you've set your levels. (it's the little round orange button with a speaker on it)

Not sure about Q2 or Q3.

thanks for the advice, i'll try it out next time a try a recording section
