Newbie question about Cool Edit Pro and MP3's...

Why is it that every time I try to open an mp3 file in Cool Edit Pro, it won't play and it's just a bunch of static?

This is probably a stupid question, but will someone please help me out?

I dont think CEP supports mp3 format.

I have a Plug in for that, one I received from a friend. Once you have installed the plug in, CEP will open MP3's. Do a search on the web, I will look and see were I got mine.

I've got the Syntrillium mp3 plugin, and it opens mp3s. Since Cool runs Directx plugs, maybe it'll run other mp3 plugins.
