Newbie Purchasing Hardware. Any Advice Appreciated!

Hello all!

I have dabbled with recording for the past few years but am looking to get some better equipment to improve the sound quality. I have a Mac and Logic 9 and want to buy a Mic and an audio interface. Can anyone recommend any good ones that work well together, with a Mac and for recording guitar/vocals?
