Newbie needs info on sound card

Looking to buy sound card for my comp got about £80-£100 to spare. Would be eternally grateful if someone could tell me the best sound card i can get for this amount of cash.

i am looking to put down some rough tracks for the band im in but am useless
with all this stuff just stick a guitar in my hand and im ok but all this comp stuff is doing me head in. I have a Mackie 1642-VLZ Pro 16-Channel Mixer with a peavey PV 2000 power amp and a Yamaha PSR-620 Keyboard which i am trying to connect to my Soundblaster live card (without sucess) through the MIDI port. I been told i need to get a better card so help would be grateful.
