Ok i know that these are really stupid questions but i really need help.

1. what are condensor mics used for? why would you use these instead of dynamic mics or anything else?

2. what are dynamic mics used for? why would you use these instead of condensor mics or something?

3. what kind of mic setup is the best and what do real studios do for their setup(eg. the drums, guitar, bass, vocals etc.)?

4. Any other mic tips you could tell me, concerning when i should use some and when i should use others?

thanx a lot for your help!

That FAQ prolly answers most questions you have right now....if you need any help with anything specific you dont understand, ask and we'll help.

I still need to know this though!

what kind of mic setup is the best and what do real studios do for their setup(eg. the drums, guitar, bass, vocals etc.)?

Did you read the stickies?

That thread contains everything you would ever want to know about microphones. Condenser mics are used for many studio applications and some live applications. Dynamic mics also have their places in both studio and live use. As for the other questions, the "search" feature of the board, in addition to the sticky threads, will yield a wealth of information. "what mics and techniques do you use for everything?" is far too vague of a question. More specific questions may get you better answers.

We all appreciate that you want to know this stuff, but it's all been said before. Spend some time reading...use the search function...it's all here if you look.
