Excellent guitar technique. Is there such a genre as "Life Metal" :D

Wow that was incredible. Dylan are you male or female?

Yeh.

I haven't listened to metallica for a while but ever since I thought about wanting to record I've wanted to cover plenty of their songs so I thought I'd give it a go inbetween playing death metal and writing death metal.

I'm glad you liked it.

You have to do Fade To Black....and To Live Is To Die! To Live Is To Die is my favourite Metallica song, and seeing as your stuff is instrumental, it'd go well with it all.

SteveE9C6 - Thankyou. I've been doing a lot of recording to try and clean up my technique a lot, because I am sick of being sloppy. The two solos at the end are improvised and are really different to other takes that I was trying out, and they fit best and were cleanest. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by 'life metal', but if you're tlaking about my life, I certainly hope so. :D

Where Eagles Dare - I'm a 20 year old male. :)

MtEith4 - I played fade to black for a school exam when I was 17 and I had to shorten it to 5 minutes in length so I rearranged it to be an intstrumental. It was a lot of fun, but fade to black is a bit too similar to sanitarium for me to want to cover it, so I think eventually I'll do orion. I'm working on a dissection cover at the moment, and after that I plan on doing a decapitated cover, but I tried a few days ago and I couldn't play it well enough. :( It was so hard.

O well, in good time.

Glad everyone likes my stuff. More original material will be coming soon, similar to sky of maggots and such.

Oooh, Orion. My second favourite Metallica song, guess what's my 3rd...yup, Call of Ktulu, I love their instrumentals. Orion's my favourite to play on bass, though I am not so good at it, yet.

Umm...how can I put this...if you were female I'd like you to touch me in the same way your music did....

Great sound, Dylan! You might be a newbee here, but I think you know very well what you're doing, the quality's incredibly good. Don't usually expect that from a 20 year old.....and I can only dream of playing guitar like you! How about a song with vocals?

Cheers
Joe :D

WhereEaglesDare - Fair enough then. :D

joeym - Thanks heaps man. All the guitar skills come ith practice, and I've had help from a lot of people on the internet and friends locally in town with my recording, and I think my stuff sounds fairly decent because I have a fairly good understanding of what tones sound good for live, and how usually you want completely different tones for recording, and I also have a fairly good understanding of how compression works and how you wnt to use it for different instruments.

I will get vocals on the songs soon hopefully. It's just a matter of being home with no one in the house because I'm nervous about recording vocals. :)

Waffle - Excellent guitar playing. Rhythmically tight and with a good feel. :)
Gtrs sound very DI'd though.
Drums sound good.

I liked the songs. Great tone!
Good to hear another Aussie metaller out there!
