Hi there. Well, not posted any tracks before so please go easy on me :)

I write music that is inspired by mountains because I love mountains. Perhaps you might check out a couple of my tracks and see if they evoke any sense of peace or landscape imagery - which is the intention. If they don't then it's back to the drawing board!

You are inspired by mountains? Far out.

I would listen to this stuff while roasting smores over an open fire.

Good work!

Sound really good, not something I'll put on in the car, but doesn't take anything away from it. This could also work very well for games' cut sequences - I can just see the warcraft movie reel!

nice work.

I agree with the other guy... it's not something I'd jam out to on the highway... but for what it is, it's really well put together. I do get a sense of peace listening to it. What are the instruments? Are they are all real and performed by you?

Damn

Fantastic stuff! I'm very impressed. Very haunting and big. The arrangements are wonderful. The sounds are very well put together. I'm curious to know what kind of equipment you used to get these sounds...hardware, or software?

Hi there. Thanks for your kind comments! Well for the strings I used a real cellist and violinist and combined these with VSL. I also played some of the ethnic instruments myself on the Chinese track. I try and use real instruments if possible!

Well, again...

it's a very nice sound. I tend to do similar things, but maybe a bit more electronic (NOT house or techno...) and it's all hardware based (keyboards, ext. sequencers, guitars etc.). I'd love to hear more music. Keep the songs coming.

Dawn -
The lead instrument in the intro is a little brittle sounding - a bit like a ethnicized dobro - set a very Eastern flavour.
I like the rest of it too - like the stuff from the mid 90's without the intrusive disco percussion.
Top stuff!

Hey Tai Shan - The first song was cool. The only thing that stood out to me was the opening instrument sounded a little "tinny" for my taste and when the other instruments kicked in, I didn't feel that instrumented blended well. The other song "Voices" was very interesting to me and fun to listen to.

You made me want to go and watch Braveheart.

Thanks for sharing your songs - very nice!!!!

Hey Lga, thanks alot for taking the time to listen! Yeah, I know what you mean. I thought long and hard about that sound but it is a rebab which is by nature quite thin and I did play it myself so I thought I should try and represent the unique character of the instrument without messing with it too much. But I think maybe I will mellow it out a little :)

Thanks!
