Yo calexcyou! As you can see, you've got a lot of views, but no replies. Why? Not speaking for anybody else, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. OK, you've got a high end cassette deck made in the 80's with a unique slide-out toploading design intended as part of a component system. The question is- what the devil is a "5 db pin"? You may be using Brit speak to a bunch of American audiophiles. A picture of the back panel would be very helpful, especially if the resolution is high enough to read the labels on the connectors. The thing has to have some kind of dual line out connectors, but the term "5 db pin" is one I've never heard. More information please.-Richie

I'm guessing something like THIS (which is for video connections) - some fancy Googling should do the trick.

5 pin din was the original home standard, it had a common pin then left and right in and out all on the same plug link. You can still get 5 pin din to rca leads (see picture) around the place and then work out adaptors, I still have a few floating around. You can also buy 5 pin dins plugs and solder up your own leads.

By the way 5 pin din plugs are now used for midi cables but the wiring is different.

Cheers

alan.
