Hi, I've been looking though the forums to find pro-tips on acoustic house recordings and was able to pick up a lot of new techniques. I realize that a lot of them vary based on the specific sound one is looking for, guitar/player quality, equipment, etc etc... I apologize in advance if a scenario like mine has been addressed in the forums already. Here is my current setup.
Crafter acoustic
Adobe Audition 3.0
Apex 440 condenser mic
It's not much, but for now since I'm still kind of new to home recording I'll have to make the best of what I have. I'm going for more of a pop sound, and I only plan on recording a rythm/lead acoustic and of course the vocal melody with harmonies here and there.
Here's an example of the sound I'm wanting:

As for recording, I have 6 bedrooms to choose from, but I'm still debating which will be more ideal. There is a walk in closet in one of the guest bedrooms and its lined with old clothes so I figured that could potentially be a good candidate.
Any advice given to my specific setup and preferred sound would be much appreciated (ie: mixing, mic placement, just about anything that could be helpful).
Thanks in advance :]
