Hi Guys,

First time here, first post.

I would like to get a multi-track set up, for what I see for the value the Zoom 16 has a good edge over the rest for what it offers up. 16 tracks, w/ 8 simultaneous inputs(unbelievable) 2-Phantom powered inputs and it comes with Cubase L4 from Sam Ash for $399.00. Not a bad deal.

Since you guys have been in the groove with this stuff for a while I figure there's is stuff out there I am not even aware of. So I ask you how do you think it compares to what is out there? Is the Cubase L4 the full version or a light weight giveaway type version being given out with the unit. I see that Cubase 5 is out there. Does anyone know of any better units that compare value wise and dollar wise? Please advise.

Thanks in advance those who reply....

Look at interfaces, more options, less dough, it's all good. Unless, of course, you have to have a stand alone recorder.

Howdy Ed and welcome.
You should look at the zoom r24 it's only $100. more and comes with a lot more. And wait till cyber Monday or as the time gets closer to the holidays maybe it will go down in price.
You don't have to use cubase you can down loud Reaper for free and if you like it it's only a one time price of $40.!!!
