I know, crazy isn't it? She threw away the ones she didn't like

She's got them all meticulously indexed, each one accompanied by a number for an, also indexed of cause, minitape giving the basics of melody, chorus and verse. She doesn't really need that, because if you point randomly at one of the songs, she'll look up the words, thinks for 10 seconds, and will sing it for you.
She wrote the score and 6 songs for a movie soundtrack, the first time she ever did anything like that, in 4 days. Not normal songs, oh no. There is a song for the movie, and then 1 song for each of the 5 main characters in the movie, songs that fit the characters like gloves.
Altogether, its really quite frightening in a funny kinda way.
I think its also the reason she isn't a huge star already. In the past some really well known people heard her (she's apparently one of Prince's favorite singers - he used to invite her to come and sing in his club in Minniap all the time) and wanted to work with her. Inevitably when it came to starting recordings, guys got too intimidated and inevitably tried to completely remove her from arrangement and production involvement - upon which she felt it not to be worth it anymore, and walked (or they were interested in getting her into bed, same result).
I love working with her, we can work without even talking, if we do talk its to say the same thing, like musical twins, REALLY strange and wonderful.
Needless to say, Uru is the reason for, and inspiration behind, the building of our own studio. I think we've got some work to do!
