I don't listen to country... so I was bit hesitant at first, but I ended up enjoying the tune. Very catchy and I really dig the harmonica work. Almost feels more blusey than country to me. Cool guitar work later on too. Solid song. Mixwise, I'd say bring up the harmonica a tad and lower the drums a bit... The drums seem to take over the mix a bit too much at points IMO.

listened to the second track too... cool moody intro and excellent percussion work throughout. Again catchy and feel good music. The only thing I'd recommend on this one is to mess with the vocals some... something didn't sit right with me... maybe drop the reverb a tad and mess with some EQ or so... I'm not sure exactly, I'm no vocal expert :)

Cool stuff ;)

hey thanks dude yeah that second track was recorded early in my learning period like the 1st or 2nd time i really sung into a mic....

chekc out the 3rd one for my latest vocals since i learned some stuff...

oh yeah maybe this will explain...

all tracks recorded with a mxl 990 and a art preamp, using a usb maudio quattro :p

El Mirrar...that is just spacey...way cool. I like it. Sounds well mixed. I like the vibe...somewhat Eastern. It is very catchy, for not being a pop tune. Nice sounds. Everything seems pretty clean.

I agree with Snake on teh Country Break...Has a cool bluesy vibe to it. Country Blues. Harp could come up a bit. Sounds nice though. Well done here....

In A Cage....Very pretty guitar tone. It's really nice. Has an Eastern vibe to it also. Very cool. Then it gets somewhat jazzy, and then into the country, blues thing. Nice changes. Vocals seem a bit boxy on this one. Reduce some of the verb, and make them stick out a bit more...
Cool tune.

yeah i rearraged em on the page so that post about the vocals is inacuratte the way they were record3ed was ...

in a cage 2nd or 3 song ever(source files for mixdown gone)
country break more experience with micing intruments
el mirrar more experienced with micing vocals...

i find the vocals on el mirrar way too ...
warm? i guess thats the word too much something...

any way thanks and yeah, i definitely learned my lesson about double/reverb vocals since in a cage but its the only version i have... and i just tell people who dont know that i wanted it to sound like that ;) lol
