It is so good to hear you,Dan!Sounds like you're in the room with me.
Really, very natural sounding.Under produced,I suppose.Loved the staccato mandolin solos.I agree with the Lightfoot comment.
I pledge to learn this on guitar,so I can join you @the jamfest!Very beautiful music,you old bitch!:D

beeze, you young whippersnapper, thanks dude, I was in the room with you, you stoned fuck, didn't you see me? he he he he great Idea, need the chord progression, let me know. Hey man, how's your dad? Hope he's doing good and you also. Thanks again.

I really liked the vox.

The bass tone was great in the beginning, but seemed to disappear in the mix, but that could be my speakers.

Another thing that may be my speakers' fault, was the kick level. It didn't seem to have enough punch when the song kicked in.

Great guitar solo. Good stuff.

...man, hearing your nice emphasis on acoustic instruments is really a very cool thing in here. ...he's got the banjo on some the mando on some....... rich and pretty.

...very nice dan..... very nice indeed!

Well shit DTB, I made the mistake of reading the other posts and now all my thoughts seem so useless......

Still, I liked what Sam said about vocal aproach and I think the git could use some more room by lowering the uke(?) Maybe even add some back-up vox in the verses when you speak of looking at your wife to eleviate the feeling of staleness..............now I've said way too much.

In short, I dig on your tunes as always and it was nice to hear you get into the recording (that is, more than the wed night jam, which I miss too) thing.

Make sence?

Nice tune dude,

Theron.

Dan, yer gettin pretty good for an ol' hillbilly ;) I'd agree with the general consensus. A little bass cut on the vocals may take care of them standing out so much. Great voice.

Lopp, "Another thing that may be my speakers' fault, was the kick level", you hear a kickdrum, or do I misunderstand. There's no drums. Thanks for the other comments. Let me know what you mean by the "kick".

Hey G., thanks as always for your comments, and no banjo in this tune. When I'm tracking with this new mic, the acoustics all sound so clean and clear it's hard not to layer. Last night Bob the keyboard dude came by, and we tracked with another one of my tunes, we had vox with guitar, lead guitar, keyboard, mando, all layered in and had the greatest time. I might put it up after I check it out this morning. Thanks again.

theron, thanks also dude. Makes sense for sure. Yeah, I'm working on it.

Tex, you freako, what's up man? Thanks for your comments too. So did you hear the "uke" or what?

Thanks fellows,

dtb

Holy Schnikies! Upon further review, I found out that was the wrong song! That's what I get when I d/l more than one song at a time. Sorry. :(

Alright. I got the right one now. Funny thing is it's a simlar style.

I really like the presence of the acoustic guitar. Great tone.

I'll have to agree about the lack of bass. I wouldn't have even known it was there if I didn't look at the other comments, but part of that is my speakers' fault (for real this time ;) ).

The vox actually sound decent. Sure, you could belt them out more, but the reclined on the couch attitude adds a certain laid back flavor to the song.

Great stuff.

thanks again, Lopp, glad that's what happened. With folks hearing "ukes" and things, I was getting worried.
