mandocaster

non compos mentis
I got together with a young lady yesterday that wrote these lyrics, I came up with the melody and music. I played geetar. She sang real pretty like.

Mitch and Amy's new song

warning - a little churchy in a heretical way

cool tune, mando. Guitar sounds good, and she does have a very pretty voice. Me likes it.... :D

Hey mandocaster, I really enjoyed the nice guitar work and the reverb sounds very natural. I don't dig the singing style--it reminds me of one of Will Ferrell's SNL sketches... Marty and his wife?--but she sings well :)

I like the lyrics... doesn't sound heretical in my opinion.

Thanks...

Amy is cursed with a classical vocal background, but she is a lot cuter than Marty's wife - and that is the main thing.

Cool guitar part that contrasts with the vocal style's formality. Lyrics are pretty eerie. ...but thought provoking. Everything sounds well recorded.

Vocal has a fairly strong low-mid resonance to my ear - maybe it's a room thing. She sounds like she's got a very strong voice so I'd imagine she got the whole room vibrating! Maybe EQ sweep in the 300-600 range to find the center of it and cut it by a dB or two. Just my 2c.

That is some very good guitar Mando!!! I like the dark sound of her voice.

And what Tim said!!! :D

Thanks for the kind words.

Mixing is a painful struggle - I need more practice. Sometimes I can hear there is something wrong, but attempts to fix it make the overall mix suck worse.

I need to post here more and get good advice (like I am getting).

Keep posting, and keep asking. And most importantly, just keep mixing. You will learn things to try all the time that will help........But the music is good, and that is a great place to start.
