hmmm

you need to get a melody going in your beat. the beat is bare. i keep waiting for it to kick in but it never does. it's a cool beat but it needs more elements in it. keep it up

Massive improvement to what I was hearin' before. Just do what jug said and ur well on ur way.

yeah mayne like jug said....ya beat is naked

put them mug in a old 70's The Mack Suit and then it's gravy

i'm from the dirty so we rely on a tight bassline. put one on it and see how it comes out.

i'm not feeling this too much. it seem to take forever for the beat to get to full swing. and that constant (bingbingbingbingbing) sound is annoying

thats ok...it got a good vibe from a party in Maryland when my friend played it with the vocals over it...thats for your feedback...i need all i can get

true

i'm happy they felt it

let us here it with the vocals. you have to understand that you can get away with just kicks and hats in house music. time for the perculator is a good example. btw, i still love that song. i have some family in maryland. keep it up

i will put it this weekend...and let u all know when...note these arent mastered beats yet...

alright i put the vocals tracks up for its a party and track 10...check em out ...

cool

i'm goin to peep it, i'm workin on this beat right now. i'll get back at you in a few.

cool

it was a cool joint, i think they could have put more energy in it. the beat was asking for more energy, or maybe the vocals could have been raised a little more. it's a cool song though. the beat sounds a lot better since i hear some vocals and know that it is for house music. good job keep it comin

im tryin...were not finish with it yet..have more add libs to do and some more tweakin to do...but its work in progress....thanks for your great input

need more in put if u all can...i will be puting up some more in weeks to come..lata

That's what ya' need ta' do man - a real tight, hard-hittin' bassline.

An' as far as melody, u can't just 'ave notes gettin' higher an' higher - u need to play around get an idea u like maybe just 4/5 notes (I believe they call it a motif) then play around with it - repeat it, maybe play it backwards - maybe add a little sequencing (playing it higher/lower) - and then maybe add a similer but fairly different one on the hook - either as well as the original or instead of it (the 2nd one will mean u'll have to make it real tight).

Then u can start adding change-ups - maybe bits where everything cuts out except for the drums and bassline - maybe doing that then having an alternate meldoy, then maybe some scratches then back to normal - maybe some reverse cymbals at end of verses. Then u can add harmonics in the background - maybe vocals gettin' higher and higher as it comes up to the hook?

Experiment.
