but, I thought that is what we were supposed to be......

somebody clue me in here...OK?

Joe

maybe I made the wrong impression...I haven't been here often lately, but from what I remembered about this place was that as long as you are doing guitar stuff, you'd "usually" get some sort of positive feeback on the mix regardless how it sounds. But when it comes to hip hop/r&b, people become really critical and sometimes lame (speaking from memery). So, my point is, it takes more than 5 mins and ACID to do hiphop stuff, and people should respect it as much as guitar oriented music (even tho it takes more mics)

sorry, it's sunday morning and I have a project due this afternoon....please ignore me

the boost doesn't sound natural to me. it makes the vox sound thin IMO...but i'm listening to it on the monitors i mixed the original on so that was probably going to happen....

cool beat. It is very different and nice ( the soul of hip-hop)

The singer has a nice enough voice that's full of potential.
The lyrics are spot on.

I like the part around 2 minutes

Unfortunately, this song has no wildcard and it is clear that the singer does not know how to write memorable melodies, so I have to give this a

i think it has more to do with her able to sing the melodies she creates...at least thats what i think...

Cool, something different

Not the kind of stuff I listen to but I think this is well done--perhaps a little too much boost on the low end.

I like the repetitive horn thing in the background. Vocals are missing a little crispy edge on top, there could be a little more "sizzle" there to help blend the bells in.

Nice job
