Very early Floyd-ish - especially in the vocal treatment. I like that.
Overall mix was missing some high end. It gives it a very distant feel. It's most prevalent on the drums and guitar. I'm hearing crackles on the right side here and there. I think it's on the guitar track.
Having the drums on the left gives the mix a bit of a left-heavy feel. There is not enough on the right side to balance it. I guess I'll never get used to having drums on one side again. Just sounds bad these days. Only my opinion though. Weird that the last cymbal crash is centered too. Like the band picked up the kit and moved it for the last note of the song.
I'd try to level out the keyboards. They tend to be too loud in some spots and too soft in others.
EDIT - just noticed an out of tune guitar starting at about the 2:51 mark.

Thats straight out of the 60's - the high note on the keyboard is just a bit too loud it pierces through the mix too much
- i like the mix overall and I like the song (does remind me a bit of piper at the gates of dawn - which is a good thing)
I think the vocals sound great, I would probably try to separate the guitar a bit more, its real prominent in the intro then gets lost behind the keyboards
- I think moving the drums around in the mix would help a lot - spread them around a little in the stereo field
- i like the mix overall and I like the song (does remind me a bit of piper at the gates of dawn - which is a good thing)

A lot of the problems you've mentioned are things I really like bout the mix, so I guess it's good these aspects are noticeable!
The weird crackle is the organ driving a delay pedal too hard, we noticed it right away but really liked the take so we kept it.
Not sure what the out of tune guitar is, I'll have to check that out.
There is an acoustic 12 string that comes in with the unison strings de-tuned a bit, and a guitar with pitch vibrato.
Also, are you saying that the drums and guitar are the dark parts of the song?
I was actually a little concerned the drums were too bright (for my taste!).
I was also a little concerned how people would feel about the bass and kick as I really am not a low bass kind of guy and roll things off from 100 frequently!
Also the drums on this song we're recorded with one mic.
