New to instrument recording looking for tips and feedback

Hi my name is @501smitty i've just recently started recording with a rapper that plays guitar so this is my first time actually recording live instruments just wondering what everybody thought and some tips would be very helpful

I don't know... I get what you're saying TrackRat but I think the slightly out of tune thing works OK in the context - it's not too bad.

Look, not my style of music and it's got some rough edges with some of the sounds - in particular some of the percussion samples sound very cheap and brittle, but I've heard much worse in here. Keep working at it.

And Robby, this is the MP3 clinic, the purpose of which is to get mix advice, which is what he's asked for, so if you have some advice about the mix, then offer it, but don't just jam the guy because you don't like the tune/genre, OK? Smitty501 is probably not a big fan of The Band, either...
