New to computer recording, interested in Cakewalk

I got the card...installed the hardware... but can't get the driver to start a 2496.
It's possible they sent me the wrong one.
Does any one know how I can get one that will load the 2496 and tell me how to do it now that the "New Hardware Wizard" has disappeared?
When I contact the m-audio site to download the driver, I am asked what device and what my operating system is.
I am then given several choices. Which one(s) do I need?

You just answered your own question. Choose "Delta Audiophile 2496" and "Windows XP".

I think the newest driver is 5.10.00.29. The Install Wizard is still present under Control Panel, just have a look. But normally the drivers will have either their own installation routine or installation instructions.

Got it in there and it is up and running.
Now to find out where I can get the best price on Sonar.

$289 at Bayview Pro Audio.

Most online places will meet/beat competitive prices.

I assume you could try ebay as well, but I've been too chicken to try that route myself.
