hey guys,

1. How can I record a track from a cd to CEP?

Everytime I try, the playback sounds as if I held up a mic to a speaker. I know I'm not doing something right, Please help?


2. Is there an online manual for ver. 1.1?
 
a) the best way to get a tack off a CD is to "rip" it with special "ripper" software. I use WinOnCD... but it is NOT a good choice. search for Ripper software on the www... or ask around.

b) not that I know of, but I havent looked. Did you check www.syntrillium.com ??

Also, make sure that the "CD audio" box is checked in your recording properties (the little speaker on the bottom right side of your screen)...I don't think you'd be getting any sound at all without it checked, but who knows...

I'd go with a ripper though like camn said...I use AudioGrabber, it seems to be the most popular one.

I did it!

well guys, I finally got it last night. I didnt have the cd selected for recording. I'm still gonna try out the ripping software you guys recommended. Does anyone have an online demo created with CEP that I could listen to?



One more thing. I have a Roland XP-10 which I use as a controller. I want to use it with CEP. I heard that you can use CEP as a sampler when connected to a controller via midi. Does anyone have this setup? How can I do this?
