I just received my new American series strat from MF, and it sounds so sweet.
Sunburst, rosewood, hardtail, - $599, hardcase, free shipping and no tax! 45 days to play 'n decide, but I'm keeping this puppy...
Last year I got a MIA P-bass Hot Rod for $549 (from MF), Ash body with that transparent sunset orange finish, - what a great bass, action was perfect from the start and the sound is solid.
...so does Fender just make fine instruments and have great QC, or am I just "gettin' lucky"
I played a bunch of strats at my local GC, and they all had a decent sound, fit and finish,... just didn't like the $829 +$42 tax.
...shop mail order? sure!
....buy a strat...or a new Schecter (if your dreaming of a PRS)
....and don't pay more than $600!
