I recently installed a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy SE Sound Card onto my computer that I had previously been using the onboard sound. I know this card isn't amazing but I figured it would still be an upgrade....
I have a Fender Mustang I amplifier which can be used through a USB connection to record guitar tracks. I have been doing this for a while with decent sounding recordings, though not great. Once I installed the sound card I have noticed popping sounds that get worse at audio intensive parts of the recordings. I would post a link to an example but it wont let me since I am new to this site....
I am using Adobe Audition to record because it is fairly simple to use and supports the Fender ASIO driver necessary to record through the USB connection.
I am wondering if it is the sound card that is the problem, or if settings are just messed up now or what. Any suggestions or questions for further detail would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help
