Greg_L, you are wise beyond your years, and your advice is always spot on. However, in this case let's go easy on the lad....

It's a good tune and it should suffice that Jay shared it even if 86 is the limit of his mp3 conversion rate.

Sorry Randy....just had to LOL at you being moderated!!!!:laughings:

New 320 mix sounds pretty good. Nice harmonies. I'd personally like a more natural acoustic sound, but what you got aint terrible. The vocals sound good. Maybe a little more "air" or presence with the vocals would clean em up a bit. They seem just a hair dark in the highs. I think a very subtle bass line would work good too just to fill in the bottom end some. But that's really nitpicking. I think this is one of your best mixes yet.

This sounds better to me. Whatever phasey-ness (?) I was hearing on v3 seems to be absent here.

Confused about the bass though. You mentioned adding a bass line to v3, but others are recommending you add a bass...is there one on this? I cranked up the sub and thought I detected a subtle bass part but wasn't sure...just curious.

I only listened to the latest mix; ala 320kbps.

I think there's a bass in there, I'd like to hear a little more of it. It would work well if it was played durin the acapella part.
I thought the percussion came in a little strong, but as the song progressed they fit in better. Maybe pull them back in the beginning and let them build throughout.

Yeah, harmonies are sweet. I like how your voice breaks a little here and there, it adds a lot to the feel. I concur with the other thoughts on the acoustic. I think that would be the only thing preventing this song from getting airplay. To me, a great acoustic sound is a holy grail; I'll never get there. If you're DI'ing your acoustic, I think you should try to get a good mic'd recording. This song deserves it.

Thanks for sharing.
