good job

Great job on the acoustic guitar!! The vocals are good too, just a couple of places where you get momentarily out of tune. Great song though!! One thing you might try is to put a little reverb on the guitar tracks and see how this sounds. Good luck!!

This is an interesting song. Its not often songs grow on you during the listen. Its usually the other way around. At first I was not interested, then around 40 seconds in, I noticed that I was captured by the story. That - at least for me - means you have written a great song my friend. I think if you can get the first 15 seconds more sonically interesting you will have a very good production in this track.

My father is a well known music producer and he won't even listen to my music if he is not interested within the first 15 seconds, "its his rule". It used to make me furious but now I understand a little better.

The only downside is that I have often made good songs that don't start out as inspiring as they end up and then I call him all excited to hear his thoughts and he tells me, "it didn't make it..." (it didn't make it passed his 15 second test). My thoughts are to do something interesting in the mix during that first 15 seconds to capture the listeners aural interests and then your lyrics will do the rest... :D

Best,

Sure! For example, I have heard Steve Miller would often mic his vocal in unusual places to make sure that his "breathing" was recorded. This brings the listener in to the song in a way that is almost subliminal. And by the way, thank you for your very kind comments on my music.
