New song, tell me what you guys think

It is like a heavy metal surf tune! I keep thinking if Dick Dale started today, this is what he would do! It's pretty riff-a-riffic! The mix is good, maybe a little light on the bass, but my computer speakers are a little rough. The different feels in part one and two are cool. It does feel as though it is a little hard going between the parts- from the double time back to the verse. Not my kind of thing, but really cool!

Hip tune, but definitely a little lacking in the low-end freq's. I would recommend bumping the bass a bit, and maybe pan the rhythm guitar slightly left and the lead slightly right to space it out a bit. Cool tune, though, mate :)

Thanks for the reply, incursio. Listening to the mix now I realize it does lack low end. I'm always having trouble controlling low end without making my mixes muddy. There are three guitar tracks in this: one rhythm track panned left, a re-recorded rhythm track panned right, and lead in the center.

I agree with the lack of low end. The guitar tone is a little too crunchy for my tastes. Less fuzz and more body would probably fill it out more. Well played, though. Keep it up!

yep, more low end would be good.
the guitars are really thin souding.
lots of fuzz and no body.
sounds like when you record direct through a cheap distortion pedal.
you could try an EQ on them, but I would just re-record them.

I kinda dig the guitar sound on this.

My question is what's the point, where's the beef?

SING DAMNIT!

Read my sig.

wow you got to be kidding me.....hmmm weird they sound DI....they got the buzz thing going.....well it was nice knowing you all....

too tinny and fizzy for my tastes. If the mix had some low end and some cajones, it would be a rocker with some thrashing singer on top of it.

The lead sounds and the rhy stuff is like Kentucky cousins...they are all the same.

drums do cut thru nice though.

This mix is almost EQable since there isn't much in it...but might as well fix it before hand.
