or if this one is not working:

Song number 20 R²OS - Daydreaming (not streaming, but 320 kbps)

Got some tips on the Cakewalk Sonar site, but would like your opinion as well.

The style is more of the Grant Lee Buffalo or Blur style (not that good of course) he he

Hope you will give me some feedback if you have the time, I will give it to you as well of course...

This time I had to make the bass on an electric guitar and transpose it, will replay the bass as soon as I can get hold of a bass guitar, he he.

The guitar is tuned down to a C6, just like Joni Mitchell likes it...
BPM 115

Here is the rest of my setup:

Equipment used:
Stratocaster Plus
Fender Acoustic
A Marshal Mic.
Sonar 2.2
Some drum samples
Boss –Compression Sustainer
Eurorack 4-track mixer
Creative live soundcard from 1998
My imagination, voice and me playing.

And the lyrics:

R²OS – Daydreaming © 2005 ®

1) Little girl looks out the window
Little sun, little sun
Little boy looks out the window
All is gone, all is gone

2) Why the dreams are
realistic
sometimes scary
waking up

Chorus)
What you’re getting at, stop
Can I use it for my own?
Is this my life or a trick of the eye?
Illusion, illusion
Daydreaming

3) She is staring
out the window
On the other side
is he

4) Nothing’s said and
Nothing’s done and
What is love?
A mystery?

Bridge)
I’m sorry
You said
I’m sorry
Is it me?

Chorus2)
What are they getting at, stop!
Can they use it for their own?
Is this a life and how will I die?
Delusion
Delusion
I’m screaming…

I like it...

You have some cool sounds going on in there. I love the guitar sounds.
This is one of the few styles of music besides rap\hip hop and techno..where canned drums don't drive me absolutely crazy.

You do NEED to get a hold of a bass guitar - The mix is lacking some nice bottom end, that I think would put this over the top.

Good job.

I think you may have some low end crowding going on. I would cut below 200 on the guitars and below 250 on the vocals. Maybe a little nip or tuck in the 300hz area of the bass.

Sounds pretty good though.

The electric guitars seem a bit hi-mid heavy. They contrast a bit much with the tune.

Or hell, leave it as is.

The fade out seem like a cop out in this tune.

Great guitar work, loved the way the different ax tracks blended.

I have to agree about the vocals - in the opening verse at least, the rhythm guitar obscures it a little.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to work with the eq., though I'm not very good at it... :)

Thanks for the good advice...

Should I drop the middle eq. on the acoustic as well, you mean?
