Interesting combination of the Techno and metal guitars-the drum kit just sounds so overwhelmed by the rest of the song though. Kind of sounds like a little jazz kit with a big wall of sound almost crushing it~a bigger beefy drum sound would help it out a lot! Good stuff otherwise...
 
That was pretty cool. I couldn't pick out any nits, even after two listens.

I'm a huge fan of the synth + metal thing.
 
everything sounds great apart from the vocal processing ...you need to work on that ..the contrast in quality is striking.
 
I would rather bash your cover of Pearl Jam's Alive - it's brutal:eek:
Sloppy guitars and the main riff is not even right. Vocals are way over processed. Bass sounds aweful. Then again, I could cover PJ any better!
Run & Hide sounds much better overall, but it's not my cup of tea.

Totally agree with your observations but there's nothing much I can do about it. Just went on with the flow. I'm sure you are a fan of PJ, so this might be your cup of tea:

Just rate my vocals, not the sound quality as it was my first recording ever :o
 
Pretty good.

Very big and thick.

I think the drums sound too little/far away/quiet for the mix. In fact, I'd bet money that the mix was done by a guitar player. Guitar was louder than the drums, keys, vocals, and everything.

All around good work.
 
Incanus, thanks for checking out. And yes, I consider myself a guitarist (not a good one though).

I would like to officially express my utmost gratitude to Justin aka adsr of Jamtank.net for his mastery touch in repairing all my recording flaws, mixing down and mastering the song. I owe you big time man!
 
I definitely like the new mix better. I like the vocal effect in the verses, the vox seem to be a little out of place in the chorus I don't know if they are to loud or what but the don't seem to sit as nicely in the mix as the processed vox in the verses do. I like the song and I like the style of music, my only other complaint would be that it's too short.
 
I'd push the vox back a little bit in the chorus... they're just a bit too up front.
