New song idea

Well, my writers block has been haunting me, but I think this might be the end of it. Incredibly rough mix, bad recording etc. but I 'm looking mostly for song comments I wrote it 30 mins ago and spent 10 minutes to record it:

Signal chain:

Unknown Sony Mic ---> No preamp ---> Mic port of soundcard (that came with the computer) ---> Cakewalk

It's not exactly high budget stuff

The chord progression reminded me of Weezer's Say it Aint so. The guitar is nice and you've got a good vocal melody with it which is the main thing. You've got the nugget of a good song there. Throw some drums on, heavy it up a little with a killer chorus hook and who knows what might happen

You're definitely on the right track with this tune. Guitars sound really nice - where was the mic? Vocal line will work - but the lyrics are a bit boring right now (har!) Great ideas - keep me posted with the developments!!

I'm working on it

I miced the guitar from about 3-4 inches at the 12th fret. I didnt spend any time setting it up perfectly, it was actually meant just as a "remember this song" track, but I expanded it. Thanks for your comments
