Hello everyone, I just finished mixing this song, i called it "Daddy's Little Girl". I dedicate this song to all the fathers out there.

So every comment about anything would help a lot.

The guitar solo i would like to change it, but maybe you like it...

Hope you like the song and the mix.

Thanks!!

Good writing and sound quality.

The bass gtr is playing too far behind the beat in the first 15 seconds of the intro to the song.

The vocal needs more clarity. The lyrics are unintelligible for some of it. That would be OK for some songs but this song tells a story so you need to hear the words clearly.

Nice guitar solo.

You are absolutely right about the vocals... that's way i just uploaded a new version with a little more volume on the vocals... let's see now how it's going. :D

Yeah that's better. :)

Now that the vocal is stronger it sounds like it could benefit from a little EQ tweaking. I'd start by trying a 2 dB cut between 600 and 1000 Hz.

I have a song of the same name that I did 7 years ago, and recently collaberated with several members on this site to make it better. Daddy's Girl, if you are interested

I like your version, but the vocals still need a bit more work.

- nice crunchy rhythm guitars
- the backup "oh's" are good panned the way you have them
- the main vocal is a good level
- I don't care for the snare drum (bit snappy for me) but the drums are the right level too.
It's a good catchy pop tune - good work!

:D:):D:):D

Hello everyone, thanks for the comments, right now i just uploaded a new version with better vocals and a new guitar solo... so hope you like it...

Waiting for comments.

Thanks

I think it sounds really good. The vocal clarity would really improve if you EQ down the guitars at around 2-4k a couple of dB. You'll still hear them just fine, but the vocals will pop out better.

As I listen and get further into, the overall mix is nice, but from the start, I get a sense that the entire mix is a bit muffled. Some sort of EQ issue. I wish I could tell you more technically, but I can't...I am battling the same sort of problem with all of my mixes. There is a certain tonal quality to pro recordings...and I either end up to tinny or to bassy. I can't find the sweet spot. I feel like this mix is in the bassy/muffled region of this problem.

I like the tune structure.

Thanks... i also think that something is missing to go from the good to the very good. But i just can't get it... Well, i don't have 10.000 USD equipment, so i'm not disappointed with the sound i'm getting right now... I think that i will have to get new studio monitors, i have two very cheap ones...
