Nola , Sorry about they long delay before responding. I kinda lost track of this one.
My first listen I thought phrases like at 1:44 on the word "resolution" the lead vox should stay low and let the harmony pick up the real high note. After a few more listens it's not as obvious as I thought. You probably have done some further tweeking on the vox by now anyway. The last few listens I thought the song may have ended a little abruptly , like needing a little fade out. Anyway .. Enjoyed it again .. mark

The intro flashed me back to Motown - you're still there 8-) Specifically, Archie Bell & The Drells - Tighten Up

The lead vocal was definitely the weak point here. He's too bashful - lacks assertiveness.

That's me (I wrote the bass part, too). I actually had such stage freight I went 22 years without playing. So, this is actually huge progress, tbh, though yeah, I do need to improve more over time. I'm not our primary singer; just a few songs the band forces me to do against my will. Lol. This is only our 20th gig ever so a lot to improve upon still.

LOL - I didn't have stage fright exactly, but the first few live gigs, I played bass keeping my back to the audience while facing the drummer. As more lighting was used, I was unable to see the audience and began facing them. Eventually, I got over it and liked looking out at them while playing/singing.

I couldn't quite make out her name, but your drummer's got a nice voice. Does she do much in the way of lead vocals in the group?

Yes she’s lead on 90% of songs. Here’s one from the same set Friday night where she sings.
