Looks kickin' to me. I don't know much about physical studio setup and optimization but one comment I have is your monitors might be better placed. They seem a bit high and close to me. My $.02, welcome aboard Korgnut! :D

New Set-up

Thanx for the comments Barometer. Sorry about that...what you can't see is
the bass box, on the floor, under the console. Actually the monitor sound is quite good, you're virtually surrounded. The large Yamaha bins are just there for storage, as I use them for gigging.

I agree with barometer, the monitors should be at ear level when you sit at the console to mix. Your head and the speakers should form an equilateral triangle. They also look like they are way too close to the wall, and if they are sitting flush on that shelf as it appears (with no padding beneathg, that is), the shelf is probably resonating audibly with them.

AlChuck..I appreciate your input. In all honesty, she's not finished or set-up the way I would finally like her. The monitors are sitting on 1/2" double ended steel pins. Yes I would like to revamp the whole layout somewhat. Actually, we just bought the place last month, and this was literally a quick & dirty set-up.
I want to remove the table, replace the existing station, and bring everything down in size, by about 25%, leaving me with more actual floor space. Acoustic foam and panels, along with track lighting are also on order.
For now though...she does the trick.
Thanx again for your invaluable input, and sharing your ideas.
Wish me luck!!!
