Neil, there's somebody else on the board that likes AKG dynamics! Wow, just sayng hi. I thought I was alone. Well, we can all bitch about somehing. I regret to say I have no power to alter prices down under, ecxcept if you ever come to visit, we'll take you shopping.-Richie

Well I told many of you that when we opened the UK office it would be the same for the local UK dealers as dealing with us in the USA We do ship from China to the UK now, and we do QC them there.

In order for us to grow where we need to be, we need to get the mics to the dealers at right prices. Yes, distributors can be greedy, but I have to say that we sell the mics to our distributors at huge discounts, so they all could afford to sell them to the local dealers for the same price that we sell for, and still make money. Of course their can be local taxes and shipping costs that add on to this, but even so, it should not be double.

I can appreciate all of your concerns and we are looking into all of our distributors to try and get it selling everywhere for the same pricing, or close to it. We have some distributors that are working out quite well, so we keep a close eye on what every territory is doing.

Thanks for all the comments and information.... :D

Are those UK prices the distributors recommended selling price before any retail discounting (i.e: street or buying price). As to be fair, it would be interesting to see both sets of prices for the UK.

so...will this affect the prices in sweden aswell...?
The prices are double here of what you pay in the US. :(

We hope all the distributors will follow the program. If they don't, then we will have to look to deal direct with the dealers, or look for local reps that can handle sales in several countries for us on a commission basis.

Either way, we know it is working in several areas, so now it is a matter of making it work in others. Until then, shop around...

I dont think we have a distributor in sweden, just dealers that import from the distr. in norway.

It Sucks, because i get discounts from all the major distr, but not from local dealers. :(

I hope someon will be smart enough to pick up the SP sales over here.

Tjena Jonkan!

I emailed the people at soundsense the other day. They told me that shipping to Sweden will cost about £25/mic (expensive though).
If you're aiming at the B1 your profit may not be worth the hassle. But if you on the other hand are drowling over the T3 you'll have it in your hands for 4500sek, thats below half the price of what you have tho pay for the T3 in Sweden at the moment. Since U.K and Sweden are both members of the EU, you do not need to pay extra custom or vat when it arrives to Sweden, Neat.

I was wondering, is there any special precautions you have to take when shipping a microphone, like not shipp by airplane (the vacum in the cargo space might damage the microphonecapsule?).
Cause £25 seems quite expencive for a such small package.
Can anybody who knows, comment this.

25 quid? Wow, for that money it must be a nuke-proof package.
