i'm new to the keyboards and am looking for one that will give me some great sounds and good quality. i'm sure roland will give me this. just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this keyboard and could let me know what they think of it. thanks for your help!

The older XP30 is a better buy. Even though the XP is more expensive, it gives you more sounds, a keyboard with aftertouch and expandability with additional SR-JV expansion boards. The RS-5 has none of these features.
The RS-5 is a nice keyboard, and its sounds are decent, but after a few months I really felt the lack in extras in the areas that were mentioned in the last post. I had wish I had gotten the XP model.
