I like it. Sort of heavy, yet with some melodies. Soundclick compression sucks.
The composition is fun....nice sounds. I think it's put together pretty well. A little boomy at times, but the compression may be hurting the low end.

Fun listen man.

Listening on phones until i can jack this on monitors tomorrow. Loving the lead tone and melodies. Has a nice sound, never makes me cringe. Liking the keyboards alot at 1:35ish. It does seem a tad boomy to me as well but I won't have any idea of that until I can actually listen on something other then cans. 2:12ish rocks. I really like this man I'm glad you put more work into it. Hopefully i can be more insightful tomorrow off the phones.

Take care

Gary

The thin bit before the keyboard is too quiet for my h/phones even. Both those sections are well below the beefy lead tone in either vol or presence - don't know which.
The keyboard section does leave the drums a bit naked.

You've done a lot of work on this bigbubba and it's turned out to be a very complex and melodic epic. There is some deep bottom parts as mentioned but they are not that bad - some tweaking on the eq or compressor maybe. Can't say how much I like all the different guitar tones and melodies. Great playing and arranging.

I like the depth the lo-end is giving this....nice guitar workand sound...snare drum sounds a bit funky to me...not sure what it is.Really like the arrangment on this, the tempo change around 2:18 is cool with the drums.
Nice to see some music from you! :)

Thanks all, I appreciate all the comments.

:)

Dogman - Thanks for listening and commenting. I am not agreeing that some place the bass might use some compression. If not all maybe atleast below 80hz.

gbav - Thanks for listening. So that's two votes for slight boomy. :) Glad you liked it.

rayc - Thanks Ray. I see your signature has changed which means I may have missed one of your songs. After you said it, I was thinking that the thin bit was a little thin. I might be able to compose something. The other "The keyboard section does leave the drums a bit naked." was sort intended to be like that. But I might think to see if something cool can be snuck in there. :)

ido1957 - Hey man! Thanks for listening. :) Glad you liked it. So now that's 3 votes for boomy. :) I'ma really gone hafta learn that dern compressur thingie.

variaxman - Hey dude. Thanks for listening. Glad you liked it. Snare is a snare from a soundfont. Liked it originally a lot and have features it in a few of my recordings. I something thinks that I don't like it but mostly I've gotten used to it.

Thanks all. :)

Hey dude!

Cool-ass composition, man... You proggies play stuff I can't even think of...

Drums need more arse; some oomph in the bottom; they feel thin to me. When juxtaposed against the bigness/wallowyness of the bass, it's what's feeling odd. The pocket has no smack. I'm not certain it's a compressor issue as much as that you're a guitarist, and the mix sounds like a guitarist mixed it. ;) The guitars have all sorts of space and definition in the sound field and the bass/drums sound almost like a mix afterthought.. ("Oh, yeah, suppose I oughtta have them in there...") :)

Some noise at the end; MP3 compression artifact?

Llarion - Hey man! How's it going? Thanks for listening. :)

The drums and bass sound like an afterthought? Well I don't know what to say. I do agree that drums especially don't sound like real or as good as they could. But I've been tweaking the drums for a along time. Making changes and all but I guess it needs more work. :)

The same with bass. Trying to make heavier. It's a little boomy. So I gotta go back and fix some low end with a compression or gotta roll it off.

Any ideas on the bass? I'll try to add some bottom to the drums without ruining it. As the guitars have already called dibs on most of the EQ range. :D.

The end is supposed to be a fade-to-dist end. Liked the idea of fading into absolute noise with the piece having been relatively well noise gated.

Thanks for pointing out some items.
