New PC---Now I need software advice!

Good afternoon fellas...
I just got and set up a new PC...
2.4 ghz processor, 100GB HD, 512 ram, flatscreen, cd/dvd burner, soundcard etc...

I want to record solo guitar, singing, keyboard, drum machine, mandolin, etc...

All me, just recorded one at a time

What software and audio interface reccomendations might you have?

My friend says Tascam 224 with the included VST...any thoughts?

Personally I like the M-Audio Delta series (44, 66 and 1010). For your purpose the 44 should be plenty for you. I've had good experience with their support and my Delta 1010 works great. For software I've been using Sonar, great easy to use interface and lots of support here for it. Just my $.02, I'm sure you'll get alot of different opinions
