alright buddies I am working on the remix of this one right now, I have already improved on the drums and will be working on the vocals soon, I will remove this version and post the remix soon so if you wanna take a listen to this one one more time just for any other feedback you can give me...feel free to do so.

Hey
Nice tune,

I dont mean any disrespect by this but does this song sound a lot like "Everlasting love" - not sure who sings it.

Anyway - its sounds good. And The words were very heartfelt. Writing lyrics is hard - what is your routine for writing?

Thanks for the comments...I am not sure I know that song...I dont really have a routine for writing. Started this one at work and finished it because I couldnt sleep. The lyrics kept going around in my head and I had to get up and write them down so as I wouldnt forget them by morning.

One of the guitars sounds out of tune slightly. I'm not sure which, but the overall impression sounds like it anyway. But the mixing is still good on this one. The drum beat could use more of them hi-hats, you know, between the kick & snare too, but I guess it's personal preference. The snare sounds good, but it's a tad too loud. The actual song is pretty standard, but not too bad. I didn't pay attention to the lyrics, but the vocals work. A solid song. The chord sequence reminds me of something, but nowadays, everything does.

Oh... I did notice this has something to do with The Lord, so I guess this is a gospel song. Forgive me if I'm completely wrong, since I didn't read any other responses. In fact, I didn't read your original message either. I just checked what the filename was and go! :D

I have listened to this several times and there is something about your voice that stands out.

As opposed to the last metal tune you posted, this time you are really trying to "sing" this song and it works pretty well. Since my voice left the earth long ago it is with great envy that I say you have a voice that is probably better than you give yourself credit for. The key in the future is to write in your range. You have a beefy tone and it is something that can't be faked!

If I could sing I would have 4 or 5 songs posted here by now.
I have the music recorded, and a guy I work with has done some singing for me but just getting together is tough. I am lucky to get 2 or 3 sessions a month with him and it makes for slow progress. He sings great, and works for Coronas, but man..... I sure do wish I had a voice!

Your style is interesting and it seems your influences cover alot of ground.

Keep it up!

cool tune king, i'll be looking for the remix!! in the mean time................ bump!!!

:D

nice tune king..

could use a bit of spicing up, but for it's purpose, it does the job..

I like the tele sounds and the laid back vocal style...

Hey King....
Nice song man. ....solid. I echo regarding the nice guits. You might put another layer of grease on the vocals, they are just a touch dry for this. I cant wait to hear it w/ harmonies.

great work g

Sorry, not much to add to what's been said. But you've got a very good start here!
I had to tap my own drum fills to fill that void, but over all good sound. From a guitarists perspective, I agree with mixmkr that the rhythm sounds stiff. Loosen up and toss in a few accents here and there to let it speak. Play around with it some more...it's got a lot of potential. Hell, it's damn good as it is.

Cool tune.

I really hear the bass drum going , doom doom-doom, in spots so it follows the bass line. Just seems too straight of a beat and not matching the bass as good as it could.

Tele sound for sure! even if it is a knockoff it has character.

I find the chord structure a little repetitive. Easy to say 'you need another part'. But maybe not, has an entrancing quality as-is.

Nice stuff.

I pretty much gotta echo most of what's been said.

The drums are "bare-bones", and they kinda sound just like the samples used in George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set On You". :D Maybe try out some other samples and see if a different bass/snare fits it better (then add cymbals :) ). Then, of course, you gotta add some percussion... You know those corrugated metal thingies that you scrape a stick across.. that would go perfect with the guitar break. :p

I liked the Tele,.. it gave it that laid-back "southwest" feel. (like it belonged in a Quentin Tarantino movie :D ) And the elec. git on the right was fine, but the acoustic on the left was too thin.. (that problem seems to be goin' around a lot lately... ;) ) The whole mix was a tad thin, actually. Maybe you need to widen the gits out instead of hard panning em..

And you know what would totaly rock?!?! A harmonica!!! yeah!!! :D That would be cool... (like in the intro or something and then a couple more times throughout the song... not too much.. just some tasteful placement.. yeah.. I can hear it now... :p )
