bknot1-

You'll generally get more comments if you point out a single song that you want people to listen to, there's a lot to digest on that page, and I have no idea what's new and what's not.

But anyway, I checked out "what's goin on".

I hear quite a bit of clipping, both in the vocals, and the drum track. The synth/keyboard/whatever it is seems too loud compared to the rest, it's overshadowing the vocals, which should be the focus of the song.

I'm sure my complete lack of knowledge of anything in this genre is showing, so take my comments for what they're worth :D

I listened to Thrill Ni@@as.

I noticed clipping in the beat track and some sort of slow flanging or comb filtering on the vocal. The vocal also seemed to overpower the beat track.

I liked the beat well enough.

One other suggestion/comment - when someone else contributes a vocal to a track that's already recorded, you can get the two elements to sound as though they were recorded at the same time by adding a slight amount of reverb to the final mix.

thanks for the feedback Phyl i will try that for the the final mix when i get everything cleared up and clean...do you have any ideas for this also

Just monitor the final mix to avoid those occasional peaks that cause clipping. Before I burn a disk, I usually let the song play through once while I'm watching the meters. If I see a few places where I'm clipping, I either lower levels or add some compression to tame the peaks.

I'm by no means an expert, my tracks have their own problems:)

Good luck.

thanks i will do that..thats why we all here for to help each other out..and put out the best quality sound
