I need some more mic pres...and maybe some to also replace my behringer mx 802a (terrible)
I was thinking mackie 1402 vlz pro. 6 mic pres, which gives me 2 more than before. plus, I'd feel a lot more compfortable using that for basically anything as far as pres go, they are nicer, etc.
Then, I was thinking about the presonus blue tub PRE/COMP together. I think that would be nice too. I have a C1 and DMP2 as my most common vocal mic/pre pair. But, often times it gets really harsh on things like S, and TS and PS and sounds like that...high end stuff. I was thinking a "tubey" pre would help that, and make the vox sound a little friendlier.
hmm, whatchall think?
