Hi all

First post.

I'm about to build a new studio and I use Cubase 5/PC for recording but I also want to rehearse songs in the studio too, any ideas on a good mixer that would work well for both? Recording and rehearsing?

Min of 12 channels needed, I connect to the PC via a lexicon audio interface and would like a mixer with some reverb effects for the rehearsing side.

Cheers for any help

Geoff

Are you wanting to route the mixer into the interface, or using it in place of the interface? Our church uses the Mackie CFX mixer w' effects and it seems to work well, but is not an interface.

The Allen Heath mix wizard should work just fine for you.
good mic pres (16) and good EQ stripes (sweepable high and low mids) also has built in FX.
with great routing options (6 aux sends. direct outs and insert points on all 16 channels.

I use this desk live and for recording with great results.

Depends on your budget?

Mackie Onyx mixers. Can be used as interface and live mixing.
Uses Firewire to stream into computer software.
