Hey guys and gals!

I'm Rob and I like turtles. I also fancy playing guitar, bass, keys and my knees. I'm a sophomore high school student from Alaska, and I hope to become a grade A producer.
Cheers!

Hi all,

I'm Rob and I've been a player for many years but a recorder for but a few. One can definitely pick up the recording basics when playing in different bands but, as most of what I read in the threads on homerecording is still a foreign language, I have a long way to go :o

I'm off to start a thread and get some help! Would love to give ye a recording to listen to some day soon :guitar:

Thanks to all those who responded to my one and only thread so far...

Hello everyone! I'm Lex and I live in Florida. I sing, play a variety of instruments and compose my own music. I have been saving money for a little while and I'm planning to set up a computer-based project studio (DAW) in my house. I've been researching these topics (acoustics, mic placement, recording techniques, etc.) for quite some time, and I've finally reached the point where I'm ready to purchase the actual hardware. I simply want to make the right choices with the money that I have, so here I am...any advice would be appreciated...thanks!

Hello Gilbert - Matt - Drew and Lex Welcome.

Hi guys I'm Frankie from cardiff studying music technology. Have been a drummer for about 7 years now. Am a certified logic 101 professional. I will be here to gain more knowledge make friends maybe contacts and have good old laugh with everyone. I have recently posted a thread about orchestras in the recording section. If anyone could help i would be very appreciative. And again Hello!

Thanks
Frankie

Hello everyone, I'm actually rather excited to have stumbled across this forum, with no real intention of looking for one...

I have been for many years now, transforming an old shack into a studio. Whenever I came to a point where I wanted a some outside advice, it was hard to "google" that. So I found myself looking for advice again and was directed to this forum. I signed up immediately! Looking forward to meeting all :)

Thanks

Man, I have been too busy to welcome all new members individually lately. Jimmy been bad! (inside joke to RAMI...)

Welcome to all of you! If you get half as much out of this forum that I have, you will be richer beyond belief! That was a bit of an exaggeration, but seriously, if you wish to gain the most knowledge and advice, in the least amount of time, read the stickies and posts here. Feel free to ask any question, and tell bad jokes about microphones to moresound. He likes them. Mic's anyway.....:D

Most all of us members are here to help others, as well as learn from you as well. :)

Welcome. :)

Hi Everyone, I'm here because I got my girlfriend pregnant when I was 17. I was supposed to be a rock star by like, 23 yrs. old, but here I am at 37, still trying to make it, lol! Seriously though, I've been playing in bands off and on for the last 20 years, and I have always let bandmates handle the technical side of things, whether it be P.A. setup or recording, so I'm behind in that arena. Now I'm focusing on my writing, and I want to learn to make recordings strong enough to be submitted to publishers here in Nashville. Hopefully the wealth of experience found @ HR will help me accomplish my goal. Thanks for all you do;)

Hey, guys! My name's Thomas, and I'm a confuzed teen with ringing ears, and heavy metal playing all day long. I am working on my latest concept, which is building my own studio, well, a smaller sized studio. Cheers!

Hey everyone. My name is Yuri and I'm a producer hailing out of Dominica. My musical interests are broad and range from recording vocals to mixing to publishing. I look forward to learning and contributing as much as I can.

Peace.

Hi Everyone.

I'm a sound designer for theatre based out of Boston, soon to be Chicago. I've been putting my equipment and skills to a second use and have been getting into recording lately.

Nice to meet you all.

Recorder advice.

Hello my name is Dean, I have been recording for a long time. I am looking for advice on stand alone recorders/mixers. I am selling my mixer a 24 chl Soundcraft and Adats and would welcome advice from anyone that has hands on experence with the new self contained recorders out now. I am looking to record my own music and get out of the recording bands hassle. (to much drama) I play mostly cover tunes and teach full time. Slide guitar is my best talent and slide ukulele is a hoot. If anyone would like the settings for the Uke slide sound shoot me a Email dking721@verizon.net it kinda sounds like a wa wa in a fixed position but way fatter. It is a cool sound and I will use it with the Chily bro's band this week. See you later Dean

Welcome
Nelson here, I'm interesting to watch horror and comedy movies.
Thanks
