alright, i bit the bullet and got a sweet laptop to begin recording on...
so i just have a couple of questions:
I am gonna be picking up the Echo Indigo I/O card because for my needs this seems appropriate...correct me if i'm wrong...but all i will need outside of this is a mixer/preamp unit that will allow me to record one analog input at a time or multiplex a number of analog inputs at the same time through the main out from the board?
It seems much better to deal with the echo indigo rather then dive into a firewire unit while they still are proving themselves...does this make sense?
And finally...just to follow up...if you are still with me...what is a good 6 - 8 input mixer for me? I was looking at a mackie...can't recall the exact model number though!
