Hot song you know how to rap for sure. Wish there was more of you and not white kids like me on the mic. The horns are good you just know that they need to be brought up in the mix and all but as you said you didnt do any mixing.

I wanna here it when this track is all done.

word, white kids are sick man. Man i wanna break the back on persia from the white rapper show. But good looks on that.

here's my process for this 1.

I tracked this out on samplitude but had too many problems,so back to reaper 1.71 to finish cut this via edl transfer. Used the reacomp on the vocals, s.i.r. reverb on a bus with the lexicon 960 preset which i think was warm plate. On my master buss i used the Free Nebula2 with the eq2 preset and notch it up a lil bit and mpl-1 to limit just a tad more. Mic was senheiser e-835 to mackie 1202vlz pro into an adi-2.

yeah, this is quite nicely mixed, it sounds like it was done in a professional studio. And it's a sweet sample, my only suggestion would be taking it out for a measure or two during one of your verses just to change it up a little, because it does get a little bit repetitive. And it would add some emphasis to your already dope lyrics if done the right way

if you heard at the end of the verse i said 8second 2 track :D

Whats the problem your having with Samplitude? what version do you have anyways?

nice track..keep makin great music..might have to hit you up with a beat soon..

What kind of hardware are you using? What you can do is go into the preferences/settings of Samplitude and up the buffer, and if you have a sound card for recording, you might need to change the windows ASIO to use the ASIO of your card itself, and then you might be able to lower the buffer and latency without affecting anything except the over all performance after you do that will increase. Also might want to look into your buffer's on the card itself (if your using something other than a built on sound card).

I know a friend who has the 24/96 running Cubase that had the same problem. I looked deeper, and it was using the asio drivers that's for the built on sound card instead for the 24/96. His latency went from the safe 790ms to a safe 28ms without buffer problems.

I misread, you have the RME hardware. You SHOULD be getting near 0 latency and buffering shouldn't be a problem. Try those steps. It should tell you what's your latency while your doing it. I'll give you more detailed steps once I open samplitude 7 up.

Here you go homie....

Options - System/Audio or press Y on your keyboard

Under the Playback Devices, you should have MME, WDM, ASIO. On my laptop the default is MME. You can switch to ASIO, and then on the ASIO Device Setup right next to there, select the correct driver for that. I don't know what RME comes up as. Then you'll be able to lower down your buffers without having buffer over runs.

I attached an image to show you where

yo for the album go to www.myspace.com/ktrakz and theirs a buy me button all over the site (lol).

My soundcard is an rme hdsp 9652 and my ad/da converter is the rme-adi2. I sold my ptools hd system cause it wasnt worth it too me. And only on samp i get this problem fam, nuendo runs perfect and reaper does its thang.

Been doing this recording blahzay since cakewalk 6, and cubase was on atari when dudes was spicing tape in the analog days. Shit i got some reel-to-reels i gotta pull out the closet and jam too. Wooooo!

Asio i get sometimes 2.5 and i record at 88.2k or 96k depends, but ummm yeah i gotta get samp 9 and see if it makes the difference 1,0000.

Splicing tape is FUN shit homeboy. Unless your making $$ on it... then it becomes a "I hope I don't fuck up" kinda thing. I'mma add you if I haven't already on that myspace shit... I'll probably also buy the album this weekend when I have time & I'm at home, cause these computers here don't allow certain content. Certain people say that the best way to go is record at 88.2 cause when you downsample, it doesn't have to do much math (Divide by 2 = 44.1) so there's less resampling happening and that = better sound. Supposedly that is...

Pro Tools HD isn't worth the bread to dish out for that, but 98% of major studios have a Pro Tools setup, so that offsets the costs cause you woulda been able to transfer sessions back and forth or people could pay you to mix down their stuff and you can do it in the comfort of your own home.

LOL..i have told people over a million and one times i dont bother with myspace..plus i can view mysapce at work.. i dont use paypal anymore.. to many security issues....we will work someting out..LOLOl

its killahtrakz@ hotmail.com and it accepts all major credit cards fam if oyu want ill just post the link for you guys, cause im on this blackberry all day. And ummmm no splicing tape is not all that fun either. Bad experiences.
