$300-$600 GO!
I've got the new macbook pro, and logic 9 pro (because obviously i'm a pro, and i need things that say pro) so interfaces that are compatible are very much requested!

Well what requirements do you require, how many inputs what type of inputs/outputs do you need etc

well the requirements are that it doesn't suck, its within the price range, USB or Firewire 800** needs phantom power obviously, as many 1/4 outputs as the money can get, and maybe like 4 XLR inputs would be sweet, but i don't know what the money can get.

if you're just recording yourself and only need 1 to 2 channels at any given moment, get the Apogee Duet. Designed specifically for Apple and originally for Logic. If you need more I/O options, happy hunting.

you must have replied while i was typing my response... disregard my suggestion, as it's not gonna work for you.

yeahh i've heard good things about those guys, but i'm lookin for XLR :/ thanks though!

wowww i found one for $385. was not planning on buying one thatt soon... but might have to reconsider.... thanks!

RME Fireface 800

Solid drivers, great hardware, exactly what you're describing. But out of your price range right now.

I can't think of any Firewire 800 interfaces but I got a few Firewire 400 ones that I would suggest.
Mackie Blackbird
Presonus FP10
Presounus Firepod (old version of the FP10, if you can find this one used) I think some other company had already trademarked "Firepod" which why the name changed.

I have the Saffire Pro 40 and like it. It's really easy to use, sounds great, expandable, 8 pres that are good, all around about as good as your going to find for about $500.
