Well, I was setting up the intonation on my Strat a few days ago, and began playing some barre chords on the 12th fret to test it out - then of course started recording it.. Pulled out my old Hondo bass to see if it suddenly started sounding good after all these years (it didn't), stuck some lead on top and.. here it is! :D

I call it - the Intonation Jam...

Any comments appreciated!

I've been having trouble posting. If this posts. Sounds real good.

Got a nice tone on that axe and the drums sit well in the mix.

I liked it... very clean articulation in your lead work. Recording was good too!

What are you using for the guitar sounds? Amps etc...

Good job, I'm still diggin' it!!! :D :D

Thanks for the comments!

The lead guitar is a 1986 Charvell Jackson (Randy Rhoads style), plugged straight into a new Traynor YCV-80 combo amp. This is miked with a Rode NT-1 condenser mic, which gets pre-amped by a channel on a Behringer board and then into an Echo Mia soundcard, and into Cubase SX-2. There's no pedals or anything, just the amp's distortion, which is great. There's a little reverb from Waves R-verb.

Sounds good... I've got an 86 Charvel Model 6, and the damn thing is the darkest sounding axe I've got... I've tried every P/U but EMGs, and the thing just lacks that high end that I really like. (Can't sell the guitar, It's got sentimental value....)

The Traynor sounds terrific. Thanks for the details....
