This is a short mix just two choruses and a verse let me know what you think of the critique my mix so far.

dope beat, i think the vocals are mixed a bit differentally then the beat, it could be too much stereo effect, it sound sgood tho, its just that it sounds too stereoized
 
I can agree but it does give it a little presence. It's meant to be mainstream and that's exactly what it is.

...beat sounds like Souljah Boy though....might get called copycat if you push it.
 
Thanks for the compliments. But this is not me rapping or my production this is my engineering. I don't know if I can agree with the beat sounding like Soulijah Boy but I can say that it's a commercial record, which in my opinion is a good thing. The song is featuring C.H.A.D., an artist I work with, on the chorus and verse. The rest of the song has been sent to another artist in Shreveport, LA to add the two verses. This song isn't C.H.A.D.'s song but some rappers out of Shreveport who will be promoting this to in clubs in Metro Shreveport, LA.
