Looking for feedback?
It's right there in front of your amp, about a metre back, with guitar plugged in & everything turned up to 11....with a fw sympathetic strokes & bumps to egg things along...
Actually, listening to lust I think you know where it is.
Mind you a bit more feedback noise to link the 1st break with the next would be good. The feedback at the 2nd & 4th breaks is fine & the tag too.
I like it 'cause it's short, intense & sounds like FUN. Also the guitars almost sound like guitars. Did you use a generic plug in, standard pedal or some concotion of your own?

The guitars are real, and not very processed at all actually. The guitar part was doubled, with two mics on the cab both times, so there are four tracks of guitar altogether. I can't remember exactly what kind of amp the dude has, but its some kind of solid-state Marshall. The only plug-ins I'm running on the guitar are some EQ, a little bit of Room Machine, and just a little something to "warm" it up a bit.

Most of this was tracked to a Tascam 688 cassette recorder. The vox and second guitar were done right to PC. There are some kick and snare samples mixed in too.

Well Done Hi Flyer!
I had hoped they were real. They sound like guitars cranked which is soooooo much better than cranked after a pedal or cranked through a plug in. well done on the construction of the guitar tracking.

OK... anybody else??? any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

does the mix sound too thin? is there too much ambience in the guitar? too much reverb on the vox? is the snare drum loud enough? enough bass guitar in the mix?

hey ... i think theres too much reverb on the vocals and the snare needs to be louder.
the reverb on the vocals is probably just my personal preference ... but the snare definitely needs to be a little louder.
sounds really good tho ... i like the dirty guitar sound for this type of music

oh ya i listened to perfect lines by the way...

OK some more tunes and some re-mixes...

does anybody care to comment?? how is the guitar tone?? is the mix too squished?

thanks!
