Did you do it near your pickup?
I don't hear it.

Ehh, okay. I guess that's good enough.
You may now pass for "Metal".

that's pretty cool...

extreme sports... yeah I guess...

mix is nice...

Cool sounds. Drums seem to be pretty full sounding. Guitar is very prominent, but not overbearing, and the bass is good. Maybe get the bass up a bit in the mix? Don't know, that may muddy things, maybe not. Good recording.
Ed

(oh, yeah, where is the screaming, belching, growling.....?)

Thanks fellerz. More bass? I could try that. I need a new bass rig. Now I just use a cheap bass thru my guitar rig (Mesa Rectoverb). I was thinking about the bass POD.

Anyway, thanks for listening.

I didn't care for the intro, but that only lasted a few secs.
I really really got off on this. This is a great boogie metal. There is a lot of energy going on here. I especially like the quick little changes, you slid into with ease. No stumbling.

Do I hear someone playing keys on the high notes, or is that you on the guitar with a harmonic type effects? It is very very, subtle. You might consider bringing it up a bit, whatever it is. Sounds good if one really listens.
Once one picks up on it, you hear it everytime. I didn't hear it until my third listen.

I think it would kick even more if you added a high end lead to it, breaking in and out. I could hear one in my head, screaming and dueling its way to a spasmatic climax.

At first I thought more bass, but after listening 11 times, I don't think so. You've got a pretty clean sound there. The cymbals sound great. Maybe bring the kick, and snare up a bit.... Actually never mind me, I just like to babble a lot.
This a cool tune. Good luck with it!

Thanks for the reply true-eurt - much appreciated. That high end is guitar - good ears! I was going for a textural/ layered sound. Glad you dig it.

I have considered adding a solo, but that's "out" right now for this stuff. I can't wait until guitar solos are no longer shunned!

Thanks again.

I suppose I need filled in on this. Is this a joke I don't get, or do you actually mean this? I must be in the zone, because I didn't realize that.

WTF??? Now someone is dictating what instrument is solo'd ??? What is the matter with them????

If I played the geetar as well as you, No one would tell me shit about NOT playing solos!
Heck, I still wouldn't let them, and I play like yoko sings! :D

Okay, had my rant!!! You go dude!! Go for that solo!!! Solos make the world quiver!! Whether it is Lead, bass, drums, vocals, etc. There isn't near enough!

I just can't believe this shit.... :(

This is really cool. If that is the Rectoverb you are using for the guitars, its a great tone. The drums, something tells me, are programmed? If so what did you use to program them, and if not, then how were they recorded, they sounded great. Keep up the good work man, sounds awesome.

True - that just seems to be the trend in music these days, what with "nu-metal" and such, even the last Metallica record - not 1 guitar solo. I'm producing this stuff for a music library for extreme sports, car commercials etc. - so it has to sound modern, for lack of a better word - or current. As with all music it's cyclical - guitar solo's will make their comeback, by God. But hey, I can always have 2 versions, right?

Thanks Producerkid. I believe it's the Rectoverb and a Flextone on the Rectifier setting. The drums are 4 bar samples I arranged from Beta Monkey Drums - double bass edition.

Very cool! I like it. It sounds like something i would do.

Nice job!
