New Hard Rock Song My Wrists and Hands Hurt

Above is the link to the song over at soundclick. This is one I worked on with my buddy that does the Three After band with me. The drum track could be played better and I will be redoing it. My right wrist and hand seem to have issue now. I think I need some impact gloves or something. Sometimes when I'm playing drums my right hand will numb up and it is harder to hold the stick. Probably from all the vibrations.

Anyway, this is the first tune we've done together for the new year and actually it's been quite some time since me and my buddy worked on anything. Let me know what you think.
 
Heavy intro, man. I like it so far....oooh....Nice change. Cool melody in the verses. The heavy guitars going into the chorus, and the chorus, are awesome. Yeah man, this rocks. I like the bass drum. It's click-y but not thin/metal-ish. Good stuff, monkey.

Yea, that clicky sound on the kick sometimes makes the kick sound thin. I've heard a couple of "pro" album and the kick had no omph behind it.

I have a 6 Piece Gretsch Renown Maple with some custom work on it and I think a custom finish. I bought it used from a local shop and it came from a dude that got it from this place in Nashville called Fork's Drum Closet. Pretty cool looking and excellent sounding set.

I'm going to be re recording the drums though. I moved my 14" tom closer to me so it is easier to access. I just got a rack system and am still getting everything positioned right. Also working on my stick technique and trying not to play so damn hard because my right hand cramps up and it becomes hard to hold the sticks.
 
Sounding pretty good to me.....nice riffs. Maybe a bit more bottom to the kick....but really good playing.

Yeah the kick needs more umph and the snare is a little too boinky for me, but other than that, its awesome.
 
I think I need to actually tighten the snare part of the snare and tune it up a bit.

I'll do a bit more boost on the low end so you can feel that kick in the chest lol...
 
The snare is a bit err & the vocls in the verse seem a little isolated or thin - trying for an enter sandman thing? The chorus, however, is all meat & no potatoes.
The ist solo sounded a little thin too - perhaps I was expecting uber dig distortio or something.
Hey, is anyone else found the soundclcik streamer astop & start, stuttering afair of late?
 
I haven't had that problem with soundclick but I have with myspace.

I used less reverb than normal on my vocals and did natural doubling on everything. Maybe I'm compressing to much or something. I really think it just needs more reverb to blend in better with the song.

Yea, I'm not thrilled with the snare. I'm still working on that.
 
What RAMI said. I especially like the melodic changes.
