Just received a MIM Fender 50's reissue in foam green. Like the action, set up accurate, finish well done. The tuners will probably be replaced (to hell with the "true vintage deal". ) My question to all is ..... what shall I do to increase the output of the P/U's. Yes, I know that raising them will increase the output but, from my limited knowlege this will possibly interfere; Given the magnetic pull on the strings and the possible decrease in sustain. I like the sound/tone. With that in mind do any of you have a recommendation as to possible solutions short of a pickup change?? Change pots, capacitors etc? My Emg Strat (SA assembly) just totally blows this thing out of the water in terms of output. Very hard to shift gears without making amp adjustments. Truth be told, it is not really a big deal I just wanted to ask. I really enjoy the "true strat tone" hence the purchase of the new ax. The older Strat has been around for 20 + years.

I do have an old TC electronic booster to use for extra gain and various pedals to "kick it up a notch"; I just wonder, would there be an internal alternative to using a pedal or buying new P/Ups??. Sorry to be repetitious. I am stressing hard at work. I hope all have a great weekend. Thanks.

change out the pick ups or turn your amp wide open if you want more output. enjoy your new axe!
